Baby and I have decided on our engagement date. Next step is to break the news to the Mothers and Fathers. I've already told my parents and they are very supportive. I'm so surprised how much they were willing to help me. Of course lah.. their eldest daughter leh. Next up, boyfriend will tell his parents. But guys, no wedding dinner in the near future, because we plan to do it(including the chinese ceremony) only a year or two down the road.(:
Sorry, I'll only be inviting close friends, and of course family and relatives to the engagement party.
And no, I did not shotgun. Lol.
I guess many people have been wondering if this whole thing is in a rush. But frankly speaking, I fell deeply in love with my boyfriend even on the first day we dated, and I know so does he. Marriage has been on the cards even before we were barely together for six months. I used to think that a couple should date at least a couple of years before the talk of marriage comes about.. but, in this case, somehow, all these doesn't apply. My mom agrees with me too. She told me my dad and her also came about in strange circumstances - it's like you just met the right guy for you, and there is no point wasting time in courtship. I know I will spend the rest of my life with this guy.
I want to go through everything with him.
